We have now owned our home for over a year now, and it has been a continual work in progress. Although we have made dramatic progress, there is still so much yet to be done. One of the big jobs that we have wanted to check off of our list was a privacy fence. Patrick and Blake tackled this major task a couple of weekends ago. They worked very hard all weekend long and knocked out the front and both sides. You might notice all of the mess in the backyard. They had to rip down our old chain-link fence, tear up bushes, and dug up an old ancient secptic tank. All of this was done with a tractor that Blake borrowed from work. So our yard literaly looked like a bomb had exploded in it!! I am thrilled with how nice the fence looks, but the yard part still needs a complete overhaul! Landyn enjoyed helping out as well!! Thanks Blake for all of your hard work!!!

A Definite Work in Progress

Height and Weight Correction!
I asked the nurse at Landyn's doctor's appointment to give me a copy of her chart with her weight and height measurements. Obviously, I couldn't quite read it correctly and was corrected. Landyn officially weighs in at 42 lbs. and is 40 1/2 inches tall.

Dressed Up For Casino Night!
On Saturday, Jenn and I went to a Junior League Event called Casino Night. It was benefiting Families In Crisis locations in Bell County. We were able to get all dressed up and we worked the sign in table for a while. We had a great time! The event was a big success! Landyn stayed home with Patrick and Blake. When we left, she was all dressed up in her Cinderella dress so we all decided to take pictures in our party dresses.

Bluebonnet Pictures
On Wednesday, we attempted bluebonnet pictures. After a few minutes, Landyn was tired of taking pictures and gave me the 'I am Done!" look. Which I captured in the top picture. A few of the pictures turned out cute, but we are hopefully going to give it another shot next week.
On a side note, Landyn had her three year check-up this past week as well. She is as healthy as can be. Weighing in at 43 lbs. and measuring in at 44 inches tall. She is still off the top of the charts, as she has been for the past three years. Dr. Kastner gave us the OK for her to start school in the fall!! We have her registered at St. Francis for three days a week starting in the fall! Very exciting!!

Surprise!

13 Weeks Down and Counting!!
We are so happy to announce that we are having a baby!! Landyn is finally going to be a big sister! She is ecstatic!! I am 13 weeks along and just came from a doctor's appointment. Everything looked perfect! We were all (Patrick, me and Landyn) able to hear the heartbeat and see our new baby's sweet face! Baby LoveMuffin (which is what Landyn has named it) is due to arrive on September 14th. We are anxiously awaiting April 14th when we will find out if this little bundle of joy is a boy or a girl. Patrick is holding out for a boy!! I have no preference as long as it is healthy. Landyn is back and forth, some days she wants a girl, and some days she wants a boy. She is going to be such a big help when the baby does finally arrive. I can't wait!!

Landyn is a Home Owner!
Last weekend was the Home and Garden Show at the Expo Center. Friday night, we went to the preview party. There was the cutest playhouse there that Landyn just loved! Well, guess who decided to buy it?!?! Her Honey and Biscuit!! Landyn was SO EXCITED!! They delivered the play house out to my parents' house on Monday. This play house is amazing. It has electricity, real windows that open and close, a front porch with flower boxes, an upstairs loft with a ladder to get to it, a small front door and a large back door so adults have easier access. Amazing!

Bell County Youth Fair and Livestock Show
Jenn and Landyn eating popcorn at the rodeo
Honey, Landyn, and Mommy before the rodeo.
Petting the pigs.
Checking out the goats.
Feeding the Grand Champion Rabbits some of their food pellets.(Patrick actually built these people's house for them so we knew who they were)As a former FFA President, I am a huge fan of the Youth Livestock Show! (Bet some of you didn't know that about me!!) I have taken Landyn every year to check out all of the fun activities that go on during this exciting event. It will be so much fun when Landyn is old enough to enter animals in the show! This year, she loved the bunnies! I have never raised rabbits, so I know nothing about them. But I am sure that we could learn what raising prize rabbits is all about!! We also took Landyn to the rodeo this year as well. Much fun!! She definitely wants her Biscuit to buy her a pony now!
