And We Shall Call Him.............

Colton Brooks Johnson

We finally decided on a name for our new little bundle of joy!! He has been known as Spud for quite some time now, but we are now working on calling him by his new name..............Brooks. His official name is Colton Brooks, but he will go by Brooks. Landyn still likes Spud, but she likes Brooks too!

I still have about 6 and 1/2 weeks left, which is so close yet so so so far away! We are definitely ready for this little guy's arrival! Although, his nursery is not finished yet! Yikes!! Mom does have the bedding mostly finished, which is fabulous! She made it all!! Which is so special!! But everything is just kindof thrown into the room and not at all organized. I did get ambitious one night and washed and hung up all of Brooks' clothes! I feel like every room in my house has got some kind of unfinished project that needs to be completed before he arrives.

I have several events that I need to post pictures of, but just haven't had enough time. So hopefully in the next couple of days I will be able to sit down and post pictures of our Destin trip which took place back over the 4th of July, and post pictures from our Fredricksburg trip that we took this past weekend!!

Birthday Card from Landyn!!

Landyn made me the cutest birthday card!!! A few of the words are really light because they are in light pink but if you click on the card to enlarge it and look really closely at the bottom and middle you can read them. I thought it was so sweet of her and Patrick to wake up early this morning and make this for me!! I am such a lucky girl!!

Friday was the FCA Day of Champions that my dad and Patrick have helped out with for the last several years. It is a sports camp for kids to attend. This is the second year in a row that I have taken Landyn up to it for some of the festivities. The kids have to be like eight before they can actually participate. But I take Landyn up there to watch the different sports camps, eat, and listen to the praise band. We have a good time! She really wanted to participate this year, but we compromised and practiced with her in between the morning camp and the afternoon camp. Dad helps cook all of the hamburgers and hotdogs to feed all of the kiddos. Patrick helped coach the baseball guys this year.

Summer Fun USA!!

Two weekend ago, we took Landyn to Summer Fun USA for the first time. She loved it!! Poor Patrick had to carry her up the stairs to the big slide about 30 times! By the end of the afternoon, his calves were burning!! :o) I could just sit on the side and watch since I am prego. We had a great time, despite the fact that it cost us an arm and a leg to get in!!

Seattle Trip

My brother Tyler moved to Tacoma, Washington this past February to start his new job. Tacoma is just outside of Seattle. My Dad was so sweet and sent me, Landyn, and my mom to Seattle to visit him!! It was Landyn's very first time to fly in an airplane! She loved it and did fantastic throughout the entire trip. We had such a great time and saw the sites of Seattle and surrounding areas. We took a ton of pictures and I tried to narrow it down to the highlights of our trip. We covered a lot of ground in only a few days!

Jenna is almost here!!!

Our Supper Club Girls have started a tradition of taking the soon-to-be mom's out to dinner a couple of weeks before their big due date. Tonight was Sally's night! Jenna is due in two weeks, and we celebrated at the Dead Fish this evening. Great Food plus Great Friends adds up to a Fabulous Time!! We can hardly wait to finally meet little Jenna!!

Bible Study Goes to Cyclone!

We went with our Bible Study to Cyclone on Friday night. Yummy! It was great getting together with everyone and catching up since our group hasn't met for a few weeks now. We are so grateful to have such an amazing group of friends!!
