My Brave Little Girl!!

Landyn has been adamant about not getting her ears pierced until she was a "grown up". I would ask her non-challantly, "hey, so can we go pierce your ears?" Her response was always "NO!" So Patrick and I were very surprised when out of the clear blue she announced to us while we were cleaning her room Saturday morning that she wanted to go and get her ears pierced!! It was totally unprovoked! That just proves my point that she will only do something when she is good and ready. There is no way I can force her or convince her because she will just dig in her heals. So we went to the mall Saturday afternoon to get her ears pierced. You could tell that she was nervous. I think Patrick was even nervous. He and mom had a bet going on whether so would go through with it. Well, Patrick lost! She was so brave. She sat in my lap and let the lady do it. To tell you the truth, I was a little nervous about getting the second one in. I knew she would go through with the first ear, but it was the second ear that I was iffy about. But she did it and did not shed a tear!! I was so proud!!

Landyn and me before the big procedure.

You can tell she was getting a little nervous. The lady was cleaning her ears and getting them ready.

Now the lady is marking the spots where she is going to put the holes.

The lady had just done the first hole and was adjusting the earring. You can see the slight pained look on Landyn's face, but note no tears!!

The lady is doing the second hole!! Yeah!!!

Now Landyn has cute little diamond studs!! Such a big girl!!!

It is time for cereal!!

Dr. Kastner told us that a "big boy like Brooks" is ready to start cereal! So tonight he had his first taste of anything other than breastmilk...................and I think he liked it!! Landyn even tried it and thought he was pretty good!! She helped feed him and was such a great helper!!

So Sweet Together!

Landyn is an amazing big sis! She loves to play with Brooks and help entertain him when I am trying to get stuff done. These are some cute pictures of Landyn playing with Brooks while he is having tummy time. They are such cuties!!!

Four Months Old!!

It is hard to believe that my little guy is now four months old!! He went to his check-up today and had a great report. Dr. Kastner said that everything looked good and that he was definitely not missing any meals!! :o) Tonight we started rice cereal and he did really well. I was surprised at how much he actually ate. Big sis helped feed him tonight. She was all about it!! And he enjoyed having her feed him! We are so blessed!!

Uncle T. Bear's Visit

Tyler came home from Seattle for the Christmas holiday and left to go back today. We enjoyed having him home for a while and are sad that he had to leave. We went to Cheeve's last night for his last dinner before heading back to Seattle and took this picture. Landyn and Brooks sure do love their Uncle T. Bear!!

Sibling Love

I love watching Landyn and Brooks together! They are so sweet! Landyn has been an amazing big sister. From day one she has been completely in love with little Brooks and has been a huge help! Brooks totally adores her! I can not wait to watch them grow up together and to watch how their relationship matures. I am truly blessed to have such sweet kiddos!!

We watched the Aggie's play in their bowl game over at Blake and Jenn's house last week. We all had on our Aggie shirts to support our team. As you can see Brooks tuckered out towards the end of the party. Thanks Blake and Jenn for having us over!!
